Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones is an American fantasy drama television series created by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss. It is an adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire, George R. R. Martin’s series of fantasy novels, the first of which is A Game of Thrones. The show is filmed in Belfast and elsewhere in Northern Ireland, Canada, Croatia, Iceland, Malta, Morocco, Scotland, Spain, and the United States. The series premiered on HBO in the United States on April 17, 2011, and will conclude with its eighth season, which will premiere on April 14, 2019.

Game of Thrones has attracted record viewership on HBO and has a broad, active, international fan base. It has been acclaimed by critics, particularly for its acting, complex characters, story, scope, and production values, although its frequent use of nudity and violence (including sexual violence) have been criticised. The series has received 47 Prime time Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series in 2015, 2016, and 2018, more than any other prime time scripted television series.

The eighth and final season of the fantasy drama television series Game of Thrones, produced by HBO, is scheduled to premiere on April 14, 2019. Filming officially began on October 23, 2017 and concluded in July 2018.

Unlike the first six seasons that each had ten episodes and the seventh that had seven episodes, the eighth season only has six episodes. Like the previous season, it largely consists of original content not found in George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fireseries and adapts material Martin revealed to the show runners about the upcoming novels in the series, The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring.

HBO announced the eighth and final season of the fantasy drama television series Game of Thrones in July 2016. Like the previous season, it largely consists of original content not found in George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series; it instead adapts material Martin has revealed to the show runners about the upcoming novels in the series, The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring. As Benioff had verified in March 2015, the creators have talked with Martin about the end of the series, and they “know where things are heading”. He explained that the ends of both the television and the book series will unavoidably be thematically similar, although Martin could still make some changes to surprise the readers.

Here’s what we learned from the first official Game of Thrones season 8 trailer.
The two-minute preview was all about building up to the final showdownbetween the living and the dead that’s supposed to blow the Battle of the Bastards out of the water. All eyes were on an injured Arya Stark running away and in another key shot, an uninjured Arya with a a dragonglass dagger in hand. Another revelation? Tormund and Beric live! And most interesting of all, Deanerys and Jon visit Drogon and Rhaegal, fueling speculation that it might be time for Jon to ride the dragon named after his father. Watch the full trailer below.

You must be wondering who does not watch this series. I am one of them, somehow after many trials I could not match with this series, tried watching it but looks like I need more time to settle before I watch it.
